The Coonabarabran
Memorial Clock Tower would be familiar to any traveller along
the Newell Highway between Brisbane and Melbourne. It is built
from local sandstone and was dedicated in 1928. The tower has
a large brass plaque on each side inscribed with the names of
255 servicemen that served in The Great War (WW1). Those that
died during the war (41) have a star next to their name. These
names can be read by clicking on the icon of each plaque below.
