These are on the Southern side of the Wood and would have been some of the first obstacles faced by the Australians. The other pillbox is behind and to the side of this one. Even less remains of it and only a block of concrete can be seen. It cannot be seen in this image. In theory there should be remains of trenches and bomb craters in the forest, however these could not be seen due to the thick layer of litter and vegetation on the forest floor.
