Somme France - Entrance to the Australian National Memorial

The Memorial is on a hill or high point not far to the north of the town of Villers-Bretonneux. The spires of the town can be seen in the distance. The memorial is surrounded by farmland and wheatfields.

There is a small carpark at the front of the rather inposing entrance. This leads to wide steps and a wide, mown avenue of lawn through the Villers-Bretonneux Military Cemetery to the tower.
