Somme France - Pozieres British Cemetery

Driving along the very straight road from Albert and La Boisselle towards Pozieres one climbs gradually through wheat fields and farm land. Then one encounters this very imposing structure next to the road. This is the Pozieres British Cemetery and Memorial. It is unusual in that the tall edifice continues all the way around it. It appears rather odd as it is on its own in the middle of wheat fields.
