Gallipoli Turkey - Overlooking Ocean Beach

The zone controlled by the Anzacs extended a little further north from here. This image was taken from a slight rise. Note the spring flowers, wild wheat and thick scrub. The pine trees are not native to here and the scrub was not as thick in 1915 as goats were allowed to graze here.
